Dear Ms. Marion Pyzik,
I am writing to express my support for the proposed establishment of the Pocono Mountain Dual Language Charter School, to be located at 1110 Carriage Lane in Tobyhanna.
I support this proposed Kindergarten through eighth-grade school because it will provide Pocono Mountain students with the opportunity to meet Pennsylvania Department of Education Academic Standards in two languages, English and Spanish. This model of education will help students build strong academic skills while also developing bilingual proficiency.
The proposed charter school will also promote cultural appreciation, global awareness, and bilingualism, preparing students to succeed in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
In addition, the school will offer extended learning opportunities, including 190 school days, Saturday School, after-school activities, and rigorous academic support for all students.
As a member of the Pocono Mountain [business/community/faith/education] community, I respectfully encourage you to support the formation of the Pocono Mountain Dual Language Charter School.
